MEROVIKS// SIGNAL
// TRANSMISSION 016 — CONSOLE DESK, AU

Signal,
not noise

Meroviks logs the current console generation like an instrument reading — plainly, in order, and only after the hours are on the clock. No trailers, no scores we didn't earn.

What carries a room

Three readings the desk takes on every unit before a word is written.

// LOG A · PICTURE

The image

Where 4K stops being a number and starts being depth. We watch how a machine holds detail in motion, not in a still — and whether HDR lifts a scene or just brightens it.

MEASURED IN MOTION
// LOG B · SOUND

The sound

Object audio done right puts footsteps behind you and rain above you. We test on a headset and a bar, because that is how a room is actually filled.

HEADSET + ROOM
// LOG C · TOUCH

The controller

Adaptive triggers, haptics and weight in the hand. The last few centimetres between you and the world — and the first thing a great console gets right.

HELD, NOT SPECCED
SEC 05 / 06 · POSITION

We read consoles like instruments — slowly, and in full.

The feed moves fast and forgets faster. A desk is the opposite: fewer entries, each one earned over real hours on real hardware, each figure checked against what it costs to play here. That is the whole of the Meroviks method.

SEC 06 / 06 · QUERY

Common queries

The questions the desk is asked most. More on the Support page.

Q1Do you review PC or mobile?+
No — Meroviks is a console-only desk. Every unit, work and figure is read on PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo hardware. That focus is the point.
Q2How is a score reached?+
Only after we finish, or spend long enough to judge fairly. Scores reflect the work as it plays on console today, not the trailer or the promise of a patch.
Q3Are prices in Australian dollars?+
Always. Every figure is recommended Australian retail at the time of logging, and launch timing is read in AEST. Confirm current pricing with the retailer before buying.
Q4Do brands pay for coverage?+
Never. The desk is independent and not affiliated with any platform holder. Coverage is not for sale, and we say so plainly.
